About the Role
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and organised Parts Advisor to join our busy Parts team at our Omagh dealership.
Parts Advisors play a vital role in the success of the aftersales department, ensuring that parts and accessories are stocked, ordered, and supplied efficiently to support both the workshop and our customers. This role involves regular interaction with internal and external customers, delivering a consistently high standard of service by phone, email, and face to face.
This position would suit someone who is highly organised, detail focused, and able to work well under pressure while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Key Duties
- Acting as the first point of contact for all parts enquiries, delivering a knowledgeable and efficient service
- Qualifying trade and retail customers, ensuring expectations and requirements are clearly identified and managed
- Accurately identifying parts requirements using parts catalogues and computerised stock systems, advising customers accordingly and upselling where appropriate
- Monitoring stock levels and managing the reordering of essential stock items
- Undertaking inventory checks to ensure parts ordered are delivered correctly and match requirements, resolving discrepancies with suppliers
- Ensuring all parts are correctly recorded and booked out in line with workshop processes
- Completing all administration relating to returns promptly and arranging returns to manufacturers where required
- Participating in regular stock checks
- Liaising with franchise Parts teams on technical or product related queries when necessary
Person Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
- Experience managing stock in a busy and demanding environment
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail, even under pressure
- People focused, with the confidence and personality to build relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues
- Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- IT literate, with experience using Microsoft applications including Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also using own initiative
- Proactive approach to achieving personal and team objectives
- A good technical awareness or understanding of vehicles and parts is desirable
- Honest, reliable, and professional, with high levels of integrity
- A full UK driving licence is required
