The Role

We are currently recruiting experienced Vehicle Technicians to join our established workshop teams in Omagh and Strabane.

This is a senior, hands-on technician role and is strictly for qualified and experienced candidates. Applicants must hold a Level 3 or higher qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) and have a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience as a Vehicle Technician. Applications from trainees or candidates without the required experience will not be considered.

As a Vehicle Technician at Pat Kirk Ltd, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide range of vehicles to manufacturer and company standards. You will confidently work with modern diagnostic equipment, carry out complex repairs, and ensure vehicles are returned to customers in excellent condition.

You will also take part in road testing and quality checks, playing a key role in maintaining our reputation for quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple manufacturers and models, helping you stay current with the latest automotive technologies.

Day to Day Duties

• Carrying out servicing, repairs, and maintenance to a consistently high standard
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using computer based diagnostic equipment
• Repairing or replacing defective components and resolving reported faults efficiently
• Road testing vehicles to confirm repairs and quality standards
• Maintaining workshop tools, equipment, and a clean working environment
• Following manufacturer procedures and workshop checklists
• Completing job cards and documentation accurately and to required standards
• Providing technical advice and support to apprentices when requested
• Delivering a professional, courteous, and efficient service to customers through EVHC videos

Essential Skills and Experience

• Level 3 or higher qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
• A minimum of 3 years post qualification experience as a Vehicle Technician
• Significant experience beyond 3 years is a strong advantage
• A full UK driving licence
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to complete work to high standards within agreed timescales
• A proactive, enthusiastic, and professional approach
• Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
