First to hit the roads will be the all-new Micra, making its return as a stylish and efficient urban EV. Designed by Nissan’s team in London, this Micra will feature two battery options—40kWh and 52kWh—providing an impressive range of over 248 miles. Built in France at the Ampere ElectriCity plant, the Micra EV will embody a blend of style and simplicity that Micra enthusiasts have long appreciated, with sales expected to begin before the end of 2025.
Third-Generation Nissan LEAF Coming Soon
Nissan’s revolutionary LEAF will also return in 2025 with a third-generation model, continuing its legacy as one of the pioneers in mass-market electric vehicles. Built on Nissan’s advanced CMF-EV platform, the new LEAF will boast an aerodynamic design and cutting-edge technology. It will be produced at Nissan’s Sunderland plant in the UK, which is becoming a hub for EV production as part of the brand’s EV36Zero project. This initiative aims to integrate electric vehicle manufacturing, renewable energy, and battery production into one innovative system.
Updated Qashqai with Enhanced e-POWER Technology
In addition to the new EVs, the popular Qashqai will receive a significant upgrade with the latest iteration of Nissan’s e-POWER technology. This hybrid system, which delivers a driving experience similar to that of an EV, will see improvements in efficiency, emissions, and refinement. Since its introduction in 2022, e-POWER has made waves, with nearly 250,000 vehicles sold in Europe. The upcoming updates will make the driving experience even closer to a fully electric one.
Future Arrival: Juke EV in 2026
Looking further ahead, Nissan has confirmed that the next-generation Juke will debut as a fully electric vehicle in FY2026. This exciting model will be based on the Hyper Punk concept, showcased at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show, and is expected to offer Nissan’s trademark innovation and design.
A Bold Electrified Future
Nissan’s Regional Senior Vice President, Leon Dorssers, commented on the bold product updates, emphasizing the brand’s commitment to electrifying its range in Europe. “All the new models will share common Nissan DNA: striking design, technical innovation, and intuitive technology,” he said.
